Avui rendim homenatge al recentment desaparegut Yusef Lateef i a la primera hora recordem dos temes de dos dels seus mes grans treballs discogràfics, The Centaur and the Phoenix i el Prayer to the East. Seguirem amb la estrena del darrer àlbum del Roger Mas Ameba, i els també darrers treballs de Joshua Redman Walking Shadows i el d’en Fredrick Quarlquist Bossa Nova. Els nostres cantants de la nit serán el duet que van enregistrar Ray Charles i Betty Carter al 1961 sota la direcció del gran Marty Paich. Tancarem la primera hora amb una big band que va néixer sota la idea del productor de RCA Fred Reynolds a mitjans dels cinquanta anomenada The Big 18 amb gegants de la època del Swing, com Buck Clayton, Lawrence Brown, Barry Galbraith, etc, etc.
