Avui recordarem plegats a dos grans genis de la historia del jazz mes contemporani i de avantguarda dels anys 60 com els grans Booker Little i Eric Dolphy. Tots dos seran els convidats a la nostra segona hora amb una selecció del concert històric que van enregistrar al costat de Mal Waldrom, Richard Davis i Edd Blacwell al Five Spot Café de Nova York el 16 de Juliol del 1961,Seguirem amb el darrer treball de Roger Mas, Ameba i el darrer treball de la cantant nord americana Catherine Russell, Bring it Back. Tancarem amb un altre àlbum de referencia com el Go West, Man! Liderat per Quincy Jones al 1957 i escoltarem 6 dels temes que configuraven aquell memorable àlbum.

Avui comencem el nostre programa amb la gran pianista nord americana Mary Lou Williams amb la qual la escoltarem a la primera hora en quintet i acompanyada per la orquestra de Andy Kirk i de Dizzy Gillespie. La nostra segona hora estarà protagonitzada per ella mateixa amb formacions a trio. Seguirem amb Dave Douglas i el seu meravellós àlbum de l'any 2000 Soul on Soul i l'estrena del també trompetista Ambrose Akinmusire i el seu darrer àlbum The Imaginea Savior is far Easier to paint. Mes tard continuarem repassant les novetats del quartet Walk Talk, Alright Again i de la cantant Violeta Curry Honoring my Roots. Per finalitzat tornarem a recordar a Dizzy Gillespie i el seu memorable àlbum, Gillespiana.

El programa d'avui comença amb un homenatge al gran Shelly Manne el qual serà el protagonista també de la nostra segona hora d'avui. El recordarem al costat de Bill Evans al seu àlbum del 1962 Empathy i amb Sonny Rollins a l'àlbum del 1957 Way Out West. A la segona hora recordarem a Manne liderant les seves pròpies formacions amb el seus His Men amb sessions del 1953-1958.Continuarem el viatge amb el darrer àlbum de Francis Pose , Maria i l'estrena del primer treball del jove saxofonista Vernau Mier , Nebuloses d'Azimut. Encetarem també el darrer treball de la cantant anglesa Zara McFarlane, If You Knew Her i tancarem amb jazz clàssic de la ma del pare del saxo tenor Coleman Hawkins i el seu memorable The Hawk Relaxes del 1961.

Encetarem l'últim treball del trompetista Julian Sanchez, un fenomenal treball sota el títol de Julian Sanchez New Quartet i continuarem repassant el darrer àlbum de la Elisabet Raspall i el Dani Perez Present. Avui el nostre programa recorda a un dels grans del contrabaix i de la nostra historia , Paul Chambers, amb el qual començarem el programa i serà el protagonista de la segona hora d’aquesta setmana.
Seguirem amb el darrer àlbum d’en Roger Mas , Ameba i encetarem el darrer treball de la cantant nord americana Violetta Curry, Honoring my Roots. Gary Burton y el seu darrer treball Guided Tour i la gran Big Band de Woody Herman i la seva Fourth Herd del 1959 tancaran la primera hora del programa d’avui.

El nostre programa d'aquesta setmana comença recordant com sempre un dels mes grans saxofonistes de la historia, el gran Art Pepper, el qual sera el protagonista de la nostra segona hora amb enregistraments compresos entre el Novemdre del 1956 al Abril del 1957. Continuarem amb Tia Fuller i el seu darrer àlbum Angelic Warrior i seguirem amb el darrer treball del grup Walk Tall Allright Again. Estrenarem també el darrer àlbum del contrabaixista Francis Pose, Maria i tancarem amb dos llargs temes de l'últim treball de Kurt Rosenwinkel, Star of Jupiter.

En el nostre programa d’avui começarem amb el quartet del guitarrista Peter Bernstein i el seu àlbum Heart’s Content. Continuarem amb el darrer àlbum de la baterista Terri Lyne Carrington. Money Jungle Provocative in Blue i donarem un salt al passat fins el 1952 recordant al gran Paul Quinichette i el seu disc P.Q.Special. Continuarem amb el darrer àlbum de la pianista Eva Novoa, Eva Novoa Quartet i la nostra cantant de la nit Shirley Horn I Remember Miles. Presentarem també el primer treball del trio Threejay i tancarem amb un dels temes de la nostra segona hora al festival Baltica Jazz del 2006 amb Brad Mehldau, Peter Bernstein,Larry Grenadier i Jeff Ballard.
