Avui comencem el nostre programa amb la gran pianista nord americana Mary Lou Williams amb la qual la escoltarem a la primera hora en quintet i acompanyada per la orquestra de Andy Kirk i de Dizzy Gillespie. La nostra segona hora estarà protagonitzada per ella mateixa amb formacions a trio. Seguirem amb Dave Douglas i el seu meravellós àlbum de l'any 2000 Soul on Soul i l'estrena del també trompetista Ambrose Akinmusire i el seu darrer àlbum The Imaginea Savior is far Easier to paint. Mes tard continuarem repassant les novetats del quartet Walk Talk, Alright Again i de la cantant Violeta Curry Honoring my Roots. Per finalitzat tornarem a recordar a Dizzy Gillespie i el seu memorable àlbum, Gillespiana.

El nostre programa d'avui comença recordant al recentment desaparegut Gerald Wilson el qual serà el nostre convidat durant la segona hora. Seguirem amb un gran com Kenny Burrell recordant el seu àlbum Midnight Blue. Encetarem l'últim treball del trompetista Julian Sanchez, un fenomenal treball sota el títol de Julian Sanchez New Quartet i continuarem repassant el darrer àlbum de la Elisabet Raspall i el Dani Perez Present. Recordarem al gegant Fats Waller en el nostra apartat mes tradicional i tancarem de nou amb la Big Band de Gerald Wilson recordant al gran Miles Davis.

Avui el nostre programa recorda a un dels grans del contrabaix i de la nostra historia , Paul Chambers, amb el qual començarem el programa i serà el protagonista de la segona hora d’aquesta setmana.
Seguirem amb el darrer àlbum d’en Roger Mas , Ameba i encetarem el darrer treball de la cantant nord americana Violetta Curry, Honoring my Roots. Gary Burton y el seu darrer treball Guided Tour i la gran Big Band de Woody Herman i la seva Fourth Herd del 1959 tancaran la primera hora del programa d’avui.
