comencem el nostre programa amb la gran pianista nord americana Mary
Lou Williams amb la qual la escoltarem a la primera hora en quintet i
acompanyada per la orquestra de Andy Kirk i de Dizzy Gillespie. La
nostra segona hora estarà protagonitzada per ella mateixa amb
formacions a trio. Seguirem amb Dave Douglas i el seu meravellós
àlbum de l'any 2000 Soul on Soul i l'estrena del també trompetista
Ambrose Akinmusire i el seu darrer àlbum The Imaginea Savior is far
Easier to paint. Mes tard continuarem repassant les novetats del
quartet Walk Talk, Alright Again i de la cantant Violeta CurryHonoring my Roots. Per finalitzat tornarem a recordar a Dizzy
Gillespie i el seu memorable àlbum, Gillespiana.
