Avui
encetem el programa amb dues novetats la primera de Gabriel Amargant
i el seu darrer treball «And now for something completely
different», i la segona la del contrabaixista Colòmbia afincat des
de fa anys a casa nostra Santiago Acevedo, «Raices». Continuarem
recordant al gran guitarrista Jim Hall amb un àlbum del 1993
anomenat «Something Special» i recordarem a Benny Carter amb el
Gran Clàssic de la nit el tema Laura inclòs al àlbum «Cosmopolite»
del 1952. Seguirem amb el mateix Carter que estarà en aquesta ocasió
al costa de Teddy Wilson i Joe Jones amb enregistraments del 1954 i
on precisament Teddy Wilson serà el nostre convidat a la segona Hora
d'avui. Seguirem amb el gran trompetista Christian Scott i el seu
àlbum «Rewind That» i tancarem amb el guitarrista Bireli Lagrene
acompanyat per la gran «WDR Big Band» conduïda per Michael Abene.
