AQUESTA SETMANA AL CAMPS DE COTO

Aquesta setmana encetem l'espai amb el darrer treball de la gran Maria Schneider , The Thompson Fields. Presentarem també la musica del gran vibrafonista Valencia Arturo Serra amb dos dels seus treballs com son Nebulosa i Meets Celia Mur. Seguirem amb un gran del nostres dies com Roy Hargrove i el seu Aproaching Standards. L'apartat historic avui fa referencia al gran treball que el 1988 va enregistrar l'inoblidable Don Cherry anomenat Art Deco i tancarem amb un moment també històric de la nostra música de la ma de Duke Ellington el Novembre i Decembre del 1946 quan va enregistrar, entre d'altres, el celebre tall «Trumpet no End» arranjat per la gran Mary Lou Williams inspirant-se amb la progressió d'acords del clàssic de Irving Berling «Blue Skies»

Aquesta setmana el programa s'inicia amb la estrena del darrer i fenomenal àlbum del baixista Christian McBride, Live at The Village Vanguard i el continuarem amb una fenomenal balada inclosa dins de l'àlbum del guitarrista Peter Bernstein, Signs of life. Seguirem amb tres novetats mes , la primera la de Dee Dee Bridgewater, Dee Dee's Fathers, el segon el darrer àlbum de Jeremy Pelt, Tales,Musings and other Reveries i el darrer d'en Jaume Vilaseca Jazznesis II. Tancarem el programa amb l'obra mestra de la nit que avui correra a carrec del gran trompetista Benny Bailey i un dels seus àlbums anomenat Big Brass el qual va representar una de les grans joies jazzistiques de principis dels anys 60'.

       A L'ULTIM CAMPS DE COTO        

Avui comencem amb el darrer àlbum del gran pianista nord-americà Orrin Evans , The Evolution of Oneself, el qual també tindrà presencia al següent àlbum protagonitzat per Ben Wolfe el seu darrer cd anomenat The Whisperer. Seguirem amb els meus nens i en aquesta ocasió amb els darrers treballs de Ivan Kovacevick 5 Spots, Shift i el d'en Santiago Acevedo , Raices. La cantant de la nit es la britànica Zara McFarlane i el seu darrer treball If you Knew Her, i el repàs a l'enregistrament històric de la nit avui ve de part de l'inoblidable Pee Wee Russell amb unes joies que va enregistrar al costat de l gran Buck Clayton el 29 de Març del 1960. Tancarem amb una llarga versió del Tenor Madness de Sonny Rollins protagonitzat pel gran saxofonista Don Menza al Carmelo's Jazz Club el Octubre del 1981.

El Camps d'avui comença amb el darrer album del gran guitarrista Lage Lund, Idlewild i amb dues de les novetats de Quadrant Records, Love Walked In del saxofonista Charles McPherson i l'altre del pianista de Colombia Rafa Madagascar, Ancestral Project.Seguirem amb el darrer àlbum de la cantant Mayte Alguacil, Day by Day i seguirem amb un àlbum de culte que es va enregistrar al 1961 anomenta It's About Time liderat per Joe Morello.
